Me!

My obsession with glass began about 3 years ago.  I was designing jewelry back then and purchasing lampwork beads from friends and online.  After a while I just wasn't finding what I wanted. So, motivated as I am, I purchased a small lampworking kit and began melting softglass.  After a while, I decided to upgrade my torch for more heat.  Soon after that I was becomming fascinated with the world of borosilicate glass.  So again, I dove head first and began making boro beads and pendants and off-mandrel pieces.  A friend that I often see at our "open torch" night offered me a piece of boro to try... and that was it for me.  Almost immediately I signed up for a boro class from a veteran boro artist and I haven't been the same since!  I love it and am having a hard time finding room in my heart for softglass again.  So, I will continue to work the boro until my muse becomes bored and needs something new.  Until then, you can see what I'm up to all over the site! My work has also been published in BeadStyle Magazine a few times and I have currently been accepted into the Women In Glass issue of The Flow Magazine for glassworkers.  A very exciting event to be a part of!  Thanks for visiting!

UPDATE:  Well, I ordered some new odd lot colors in Bullseye and needless to say, I am now on a Bullseye kick.  Did I really think I would be able to put softglass down for good?  NAH! I can do both!
